Volunteering

The Club relies on members to help out with various activities and duties to club need to fulfil to serve its purpose. As with all amateur clubs the members serve the club as much as the club serves them!

Volunteering is a good way to meet other members and can be very rewarding!

There are many ways you can contribute, because we believe everyone has skills and something to offer. Horsham Cycling can only thrive if everyone does their small contribution:

Club Rides

  • Ride leading
  • Coordinating a Ride Group

Racing

  • Marshalling at time trials
  • Organising time trials
  • Time keeping

Special Events

  • Organising a one-off event
  • Volunteering at the Summer Randonnee
  • Taking a non-cycling role at a special event

Committee Work

  • Joining the Club’s General Committee
  • Taking a role with the Racing Committee

Website

  • Writing a news or Chainline article for the website
  • Supporting the website administrator
