Horsham Cycling is committed to supporting the local community and charities suggested or nominated by club members. The club provides support for a charity and the General Committee considers which charity to support on an annual basis.
We organise events like Charity Rides to raise funds.
The Club’s charity for 2025 and 2026 is MND Charity to which we donate on behalf of our members.
MND is the short term for motor neurone disease, which affects the nerves known as motor neurones. These nerves are found in the brain and spinal cord and they help tell your muscles what to do. If you have MND, this means your movement will be affected and you are likely to get a wide range of symptoms.
The Club’s former chair Dave Scott suffered from MND. He and his family received considerable support from the charity at St Catherine’s Hospice in Pease Pottage. If you wish to make a donation please visit our charity page.
The Club’s charity for 2024 was Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex which we continue supporting alongside our primary charity.
